A thorough review of existing post-graduate courses offered by European universities, relating to issues of sustainable rural development, and an analysis of their curricula has been undertaken. The aim of this task has been to identify systematically the subjects taught by national and international courses in related fields, the learning methods employed, their length, method of delivery, and accreditation requirements; and construct a database that will inform the curriculum development of EMRA. The review coveres all EU countries.
